Container Home Installation of Steel Slider Doors
The cargo shipping container door can be produced from the cutting off of the doorway or from anew.
What we do when making the shipping container doorway from the master cut out. The sizing of your shipping container door is not an issue.
You will be able to construct it as large as a door you desire.
Just weld more hinges to accompaniment it.
After we have the plan of the door in writing, we measure out and mark the linearity of it and then start out cutting. We’re still carving out our shipping containers with a circular saw and have yet to move the Plasma torch.
So, when cutting with a circular saw, be really cautious.
Below, you can watch the video I have included:

Afterwords, when the cut out is finished, we apply:
***C-Shape galvanized metal to frame out the doorway and the door frame. We use 2 dissimilar sizing’s, the existent door is welded to two”x two” C-Shape galvanized metal and the frame has 3’x3’ C-Shape galvanized metal welded to it.
And then we implement an expansive foam inside both container door frames.
We weld our door hinges to the door and it’s frame.
We also want to do what is called, “sealing containers” which we will get into on another article I have written.
We, in addition to, employ a few additional hinges in all our doors, usually 3-4 on a standard size door.
When the hinges are in place, we start out with the lock. This usually involves around two – four hours occasionally. I do not really acknowledge why but it just appears like it is a more delicate weld. We essentially line up the lock and then clamp it on and begin the welding.
