When building Ecopod houses from shipping containers, it is not a new subject.

There are a few companies that build smaller container homes which are environmentally friendly, can be secured, and are safe to live in.

Ecopods are constructed from usually recycled 8×20 steel shipping containers morphed into living, working, or storage sometimes even the higher end of displays. Ecopods are transformed, specifically designed built, have multiple uses, very eco-green-friendly, buildings that promote the greatest use of movability with a very low environmental footprint sustained.

Certain companies want to go even further with this idea, so they incorporated rubber flooring coming from recycled car tires also including a solar-powered refrigerator, XM radio and 12V lighting and wall outlets powered from a roof-mounted solar panel. How green is this! Even the toilet, which is a composting system, requires small amounts of maintenance and costs a tiny percentage of the traditional typical septic bed system.
